    Kingston -- June 1, 2010 -- Commissioner of Police, Owen Ellington, says the situation in Tivoli Gardens and Denham Town, in Western Kingston, has stabilised sufficiently for residents to go about their normal business, following operations in the area by the Security Forces.

    Kingston -- May 23, 2010 -- "Dudus runs the most sophisticated drug ring in Jamaica," a senior cop told The Sunday Gleaner, although he could offer no explanation as to why local police had not arrested and charged him in connection with any major crime.

    US issues travel alert for Jamaica

    May 22, 2010 -- The US State Department yesterday issued a travel alert for United States citizens travelling to, and for those living and working in Jamaica, in the wake of tension in sections of the city over the pending arrest of Tivoli Gardens strongman Christopher 'Dudus' Coke.

    Jamaica: Defence Force Calls Out Reserves

    Kingston -- May 20, 2010 -- The Jamaica Defence Force yesterday called out the National Reserves, as the security forces stepped up their presence on the streets as the court prepares to start extradition proceedings against Tivoli strongman Christopher 'Dudus' Coke.

    Feb. 23, 2010 -- Dutch suspect Joran van der Sloot has confessed to disposing the body of missing American student Natalee Holloway while on the Caribbean island of Aruba, a Dutch newspaper reported on Tuesday. He made the statements in front of an RTL television camera.
